Founded in 1995 as a joint venture between Israel-based ECI Telecom and China-based Eastcom, Hangzhou ECI Telecommunication Co., Ltd. (HETC) has grown alongside China's optical-networking industry for three decades.

Our optical-network R&D team was established in 1996 and became the ECI China R&D Center in 2005. After ECI Telecom was acquired by Ribbon Communications (NASDAQ: RBBN) in 2019, HETC was spun off from RBBN in 2022 as an independent R&D-services company headquartered in Hangzhou, China.

Today we focus on R&D outsourcing and technical support for IP optical networks, with deep in-house expertise, patents and industry know-how, backed by a team of seasoned specialists across optical networking and data communications.

30+ years of R&D and management experience in the telecom IP/optical industry, with proven capabilities to analyze and resolve system-level challenges.
Led the team to develop MSTP solutions (over 150K sets), first-generation MPLS switches ($400M) and 2nd/3rd-generation IP/MPLS/SR/SRv6/EVPN router products deployed globally.
